Today was the first day for me to begin a new semester.. I'll be on the second semester this time around... For today, all of TESLians have to choose the respective lecturers in DKA. First of all, the hall looked as calm as usual because some students took this opportunity to tell the story of their holidays, in which they have kept for three weeks! At 8:00 am, Dr. Boon has handled the group to give some briefings. She is one of the educational course's lecturers.. Luckily, she is in charge to teach my group for the tutorial of Learning and The Learners. Woww!! This is a totally new and fresh for us, TESL students.. Well, when it is under Educational Course, so, it will be more related to the process of teaching and learning.. Generally, it really gives us benefits for the future plan.. =)
After Dr. Boon has explained more or less about the syllabus of the subject, she straightaway starts the day with the very first topic of Learning and The Learners. Broadly speaking, it is about the class environment. Well, can we feel that this topic is really, really close with us? For me, it is a total YES answer =) We have learned in the schools for 12 years including kindergarten, primary and secondary schools. In those 12 years, we were provided with a class where we can learn passionately and play unlimitedly. But, do we realize that either our classes were conducive or not? Maybe some of us have crossed their minds about the teachers who are trying to arrange and organize the students' sitting in the classroom. Well, a good teacher should think about it because it will affect the learning and teaching processes. So, maybe I should try to arrange my class with new arrangement, so that we(my classmates and I) could study in better condition. hehe, suddenly, got so many things to be elaborated =)
Hmm, as the title of this entry is about students rushing over the places to grab the chances to get their favourite lecturers for the tutorials. In overall, we have to make quite a number of 'rushing' over the papers just to sign up for the lecturers. The subjects that we have to run here and there are Phonetics and Phonology, English Language Teaching Methodology (ELTM), and Children's Literature. Even though there were only three tutorials to choose, the hall(DKA) is totally crowded and noisy. Once the lecturer allowed us to go out and sign up our names, most of the girls run really fast as if they were in marathon..huhu. My friend and I just watched it from out sits.. huhu.. They also shouted, maybe to show their excitement.. hehe.. Dunno ;) My classmate, Carol, has took a picture during the process.

I dunno whether all of you can imagine the situation.. huhu.. it was quite a terrible one.. it did not show our maturity at all! haha :D Some of them collided with the chairs causes them to fell on the floor.. huk3x.. so emergent! then, what else? the lecturers just could watch and watch what all of us have done..
Maybe we will experience this thing again tomorrow for other two subjects.. hopes everything will be going well.. :)
